Hyperacusis is defined as a rare hearing disorder that causes sounds which would otherwise seem normal to most people to sound unbearably loud.

Consider a situation that sound of spoon on plate or sound ticking of clock is too loud and unbearable. This is what we see in autism children or young adult.

Also hyperacusis can be seen in 18% of autism people. It is very hard for them to bear background noise of home such as some noise that we hear everywhere and doesn’t matter for us. But hypersensitivity in this children make this big problem for them especially in home.

We suggest to test earplug for this problem. It will be useful for them. Perhaps you think it doesn’t difference too much with earplug. But for this special child it is as a revolution as it mentions in many research.
